Money Train: 97 vs. Runnin’ & Gunnin’: 48
Sometimes scores can be misleading, however this score is not! Runnin’ & Gunnin’ were playing a man down most of the first half, and missing several key players. Money Train did not let this decrease the level of their play. They jumped out to a 30 point halftime lead, and came out determined to keep that lead. Ari once again led the team in scoring with 20 points.
Antioch: 62 vs. Cobras: 73
This was a closely contested game. Early on it was the 3-point shooting of Steve Lager that helped Cobras jump out to an early lead. However, Jarvis Wiggins showed he was the fastest player on the court and helped close that gap, and tied that game at halftime. In the second half, it was the rebounding that made the difference for the Cobras. They finished the game with 34 rebounds compared to just 24 by Antioch. Jarvis finished with 29 points, and Kyle had 27 for Cobras.
Tar Heels: 65 vs. Metro Church: 74
Metro church was looking for their second straight victory. The Tar Heels came out determined not to give it to them. Wilbur “Mr. Reliable” Mathurin came out and helped his team build a 9 point lead at the half. But, it was Brandyn Meuse that provided the offense Metro needed to erase the deficit and get their second Straight win. Brandyn finished the game with 33 points and 10 rebounds.
Old School: 54 vs. Flight 612: 79
In what was a highly anticipated match-up, Flight 612 showed why they are the team to beat on Tuesday night. Early in the second half the game was close, and then you blinked and it was a 20 point game, which seems to be the common thread for Flight 612. James Hunt led the way with 33 points, while Jason Powell le`d Old School with 19 points.
