With Joe Laird dominating the paint with 19 rebounds the Cobras controlled the lead for nearly the entire game until the Gators made a late comeback in the second half. The Cobras played their best defense in the last 5 minutes of regulation play, had it not been for Andrew Figueroa, who had 35 points and 6 steals, lighting it up from beyond the arch the Gators would have gone nearly scoreless to end the game.
From Tuesday’s performance it appears that Old School is back for another year of success and a chance to cut down the nets again for the first time since 2010! Lead by the Powell brothers scoring a combined 36 points the game was never out of Old School’s control.
This was the highest scoring game of Tuesday night making it a tough loss for Metro Church who presents a tough offensive attack that was simply out-gunned. TCR’s victory was lead by Justin Ecker, who’s 28 points and down low presence was crucial in TCR’s Tuesday night victory over Metro Church.
