PlayGround Legends 75
One Body A 59
The Playground Legends continue to roll with another win over a team with a top 5 record in One Body A. Lead by Terance “TJ” Jones in scoring with 22 points on 8/14 scoring the Playground Legends appear to be a serious title contender and with 5 players scoring double digits they have more weapons than bullets, 75 was a low score for the Legends. While One Body A took a hard loss in week 7, they will certainly make some noise in the playoffs with their gritty play and willingness to full court press and simply out hustle teams. If One Body A wants it, they have the fortitude to get it.
War Eagles 65
Inside Out 56
Another tough loss for Inside Out, but the War Eagles have been tough to beat in the past few weeks with big wins over big opponents. There weren’t any big-time performances form one single person, but that just means that both teams are deep in talent with a lot of mouths to feed. Look for a more highlighted roles from MARK Slack of the War Eagles and Jeremy Irvin of Inside Out because of their elite scoring abilities.
Wiley Coyotes 53
Christ Church of Orlando 37
Victory at last for the Wiley Coyotes with 4 players scoring in the double digits. Lead by Vanilla “Meadors” Ice in scoring with 17 points on 7/14 shooting. While Vanilla Ice and the Wiley Coyotes did have a great game, it was Scott Nickerson’s near triple double that stole the show with a stat line of; 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 blocks (Yes, blocks)! Don’t worry CCO, next week is a new week and the possibility of affecting the playoffs is still a possibility.
Money Train 48
One Body B 46
One of the lowest scoring games of the year for both teams of playoff caliber, but in the end Money Train pulled out the W in a grueling effort. With such a low scoring game it is not surprising that the stat lines are not spectacular, the leading scorer, Stephon Jenkins of One Body B put up 15 points while the only other two people to score in double digits put up 11 in DJ William of Money Train and Thomas Drake of One Body B. With playoffs in their sights, One Body B MUST win next week against CCO.
